The Laboratory for Interdisciplinary Statistical Analysis’ mission is to provide service, research and education to the University. · Service. The Laboratory is dedicated to supporting the research mission of the University. This includes assisting graduate students with theses and dissertations, collaborating with faculty and staff on their research and improving the statistical literacy of all University members. · Research. Statistical research topics often arise from practical applications. The laboratory seeks to nourish these research opportunities for the growth of statistical research in the Department of Statistics. · Education. Experience in statistical consulting is an essential educational component of M.S. and Ph.D. programs in the Department of Statistics. Most consulting is faculty supervised, allowing students to learn through involvement.
